Hey FootyFam,
As a player, tiny decisions can have a huge effect on your game and career
Making decisions is tough, today I share a few things that have helped me
This message goes out to 316 action-taking ballers and is a 3 minute read
Let’s get into it.

Even when we know what we need to do, taking action is hard
In your career, the places you choose to play are crucial to your success
Teams constantly change and the level is constantly getting higher
Opportunities are scarce and competition is fierce
How do you know when is the right time to make a “risky” life decision?
It’s always a personal choice, but here are some strategies that can help.
1.Think
How much time do you spend each day thinking about life decisions?
I mean, deliberately sit and do nothing but think.
Probably very little
With all the distractions today, sitting and thinking is a lost skill
Some decisions will change the course of your life forever
e.x. Moving abroad to play soccer, choosing to study and/or play football
These decisions are tough
Make sure you take time to properly consider what the options are
This lead me to my second strategy
2.Write Pro/Cons Lists
One way to force yourself to sit and think is to write
Creating pro/con lists is a great way for you to get all of your thoughts onto paper
From this list you can decide what is best for you
Writing also helps reduce stress around making decisions
This is why I truly believe in and recommend the practice of journaling
So, you have all your thoughts in one place, what’s next?
3.Talk To Mentors

Finding high quality mentors can be tough
If you have someone in your life you consider a good mentor, lean into them
If you don’t, start by looking at people who have done things you want to do
Remember, no one mentor is great for every situation
Having a few people you can ask questions is key to getting great guidance
To wrap up
Making big life decisions is hard, create a process to help you along the way
1.Take time to stop and think
2.Write to get clarity on your thoughts
3.Ask questions of people with more life experience
